Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU)
The RBC5000 is designed to be extremely user friendly and offer excellent power to weight and size ratio. The RBC5000 is over powered; this means you can guarantee the power this unit offers. The RBC5000 provides up to 1600, 2000 or 3000 Peak Amps, it comes in an IP54 case and is capable of working at temperatures from -20°C to +50°C.
Combination Start and Continuous Units
Providing both battery powered start units and mains powered continuous power supply units. When plugged into the mains these units will supply up to 600 amps continuously (dependent on the model). When unplugged they will give up to 6000 peak amps (dependent on the model). The model number depicts the power of the unit.
Continuous Power Units
Designed to give continuous high quality DC power for crew training, aircraft servicing in the workshop, on the ramp or in the field. This continuous power supply is ideal for diagnostic work, pre flight checks or for continuous powering of equipment during operations, without draining the onboard aircraft batteries.
Switchable Start Units
Our high powered dual 12v/24v and 14v/28v start power units are designed to offer maximum power to weight ratio. With the Red Box ‘switch cable system’ these switchable start units can outlive similar products on the market by up to 100%. These units are available in either lead acid and lithium battery options.

28VDC Connectors
We are discontinuing the Type M1 and Type M3 28VDC connectors. These products will be replaced by the P28 connector.
We are offering customers a ‘last time buy’ on Type M1 and Type M3 connectors. We will accept orders for these products up to 30 September 2024. All orders accepted up until this date will be shipped at the earliest opportunity – we cannot accept orders with delayed delivery dates.

The P28 follows the same design philosophy as the Plane Power 400 Hz connectors; made from highly durable, chemically resistant, thermally stable polymers. It is IP67 rated without the need to use potting compound and takes a wide variety of composite or multi core cables. The P28 is a significantly better product than its predecessors and offers both value for money and operational reliability for end users.
