LPA is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed to acquire the UK trade and assets of a power supply provider.
LPA has reached agreement with Eaton Electrical Products Limited to acquire Eaton’s Powertron business. The Acquisition includes the UK trading division and assets, including its small manufacturing capability in Cambridgeshire. The Acquisition is complementary to a number of power supply products the Company currently manufactures for the rail industry. Some of the components being outsourced by the business will in future be manufactured by LPA in Yorkshire and given LPA’s existing extensive sales network, the Group anticipates that it will increase these sales volumes over time.
Robert Horvath, Chairman said “The addition of more stable month on month product is a key part of our ongoing strategy to keep our manufacturing units productive and this Acquisition, importantly will support our delivery against our strategy. This Acquisition, and the acquisition of the Red Box business announced last year, while both small, are going to make a significant difference to monthly sales volumes that we can build upon, supported by our international distribution network. We are also seeing good progress in increasing the sales in the connector side of our aviation business as well as our Channel distribution business.”

We are looking forward to hosting our Annual Charity Golf Day on Thursday 10 October.
This year we will be supporting St Clare Hospice and Dig It Community Allotment.
Some of our customers and suppliers from across the UK will take part in a day of golf competitions at Saffron Walden Golf Club and help raise money for two very important local charities.
Last year we raised an amazing £6,000. Hopefully we can beat it again this year!

The dinner is on 17 October 2024 at the Derby Arena, where LPA will be celebrating the achievements of our rail customers and colleagues over the past year.

LPA Connection Systems will discontinue supply of Type M1 and Type M3 28VDC connectors. These products will be replaced by the P28 connector.
We are offering customers a ‘last time buy’ on Type M1 and Type M3 connectors. We will accept orders for these products up to 30 September 2024. All orders accepted up until this date will be shipped at the earliest opportunity – we cannot accept orders with delayed delivery dates.
The P28 connector replaces the Type M1 and M3. It is now available to order – please click here for more information.
The P28 follows the same design philosophy as the Plane Power 400 Hz electrical connectors; made from highly durable, chemically resistant, thermally stable polymers. It is IP67 rated without the need to use potting compound and takes a wide variety of composite or multi core cables. The P28 is a significantly better product than its predecessors and offers both value for money and operational reliability for end users.

We are pleased to announce our full year results for the year ended 30 September 2023. Our order book increased to £31.6 million, up on the prior year, whilst our revenue performance was moderately ahead at £21.7 million.
During the year we completed the acquisition from Amphenol Ltd of their complete railway inter-car connector range, whilst post-year end, we were delighted to have completed on the acquisition of Red Box International, which gives us an excellent range of DC ground power equipment, plus a foothold into the US aerospace market which we will look to leverage our other product lines through.
We continue to deliver against market expectations and, underpinned by a strong order book, look ahead to FY24 and beyond with confidence.
